The Bennington Monument
The Bennington Battle Monument, dedicated to the famous Battle of Bennington that took place during the Revolutionary war in 1777, is a 306' stone obelisk opened to the public in 1891. We are a community of Benedictine monks, founded in 1953 by our brother, the late Abbot Leo Rudloff, of Dormition Abbey in Jerusalem, Israel. The Green Mountain Flyer(Travel time approx 1 hr 10 mins)
The Bellows Falls Union station will take you back to the days when train travel was the only way to go. Built in the 1850 ’s, this structure still serves both the Green Mountain railroad and Amtrak. The waiting room and ticket office look just as they did in the 1940’s.
Climb aboard and travel through the scenic southern Vermont countryside in restored coaches pulled by a vintage diesel locomotive. Travel along the Connecticut and Williams Rivers, with spectacular views of Brockway Mills gorge and two historic covered bridges. Train ride takes approximately 45 mins each way.

This Georgian Revival mansion was built in 1905 by Robert Todd Lincoln the only child of Abraham and Mary Todd Lincoln to survive to adulthood. We hope that you come visit our Windsor Brewery and see for yourself what makes our brewery - and our beer - special. Our Windsor Brewery features a Production Viewing Area where you can check out the Brew house "up close" and learn about Harpoon. We offer free in-depth brewery tours of the Windsor Brewery at 3:00 pm on Friday and Saturday. Reservations are not necessary, but the tour size is limited to first 30 people on a first come first serve basis. The tour includes a walk through the brewery (depending on Brewery Production at the time of the tour) and complimentary samples of Harpoon beer. It lasts about 45 minutes. Words like romantic, magical and historic are often used to describe this quaint village that has been called "the prettiest small town in America." First settled in 1768, Woodstock retains the elegant charm and rugged character of American antiquity. With a covered bridge in the middle of town, and stately homes surrounding the village green, it is easy to see why Woodstock has been called the "quintessential New England village."

Quechee Gorge and Falls(Travel time approx 1 hr 50 mins)
Vermont ’s Little Grand Canyon” is the phrase thrown around to describe the mile-long Quechee Gorge. While you really cannot compare the gorge here to the mile deep, 277-mile long Grand Canyon in Arizona, it is impressive compared to all others in New England.
You can park and view it from the bridge spanning the gorge... or, you can take a foot trail down to the base of the gorge. Just remember that you need to make it back up. There is also a short walk to the falls overlook.
